Role summary:
Member of a two-man crew which will maintain Virgin Media`s existing networks. Crew will replace and repair cables in both underground and overhead network.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Employee must have the ability and competence to work safely on overhead and underground cable networks according to SOP`s.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools competently and safely in accordance with SOP`s.
  • Ability to work closely with our client and adhere to their policies.
  • Ability to operate communications devices and company vehicles in accordance with company policies
  • Ability to maintain the professional image of the company and communicate with customers appropriately.
  • Must be flexible and prepared to perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures.
  • Ability to work safely at heights and to perform risk assessments when required.
  • Attend all TBT`s and follow new or revised procedures.
  • Ability to work in line with our company values and to work as a team.
  • When driving, or caring for company vehicle, employee must follow company policy. Care must be shown for van and all equipment/tools at all times.
  • Employee must be open to upskilling when necessary.



Skills and Experience:

  • Must have full clean Driving licence.
  • Should have current safe-pass card.
  • Some knowledge of running cables preferred.
  • Ladder work will be required.
