Job Requirements

Role Purpose

To support the Credit Control Manager in providing a professional credit control service to the business whilst providing accurate, timely and relevant information.

Key Activities

  • Responsible for ensuring our debtors policy is adhered to at all times
  • Responsible for ensuring that customers adhere to their agreed payment terms
  • Employing collection techniques as appropriate, including letters, phone calls and stop lists
  • Phone customers daily regarding overdue payment
  • Update Sales Managers weekly re High Risk accounts along with actions required in order to reduce exposure
  • Reconciliation of national accounts weekly/monthly
  • Production of weekly reports for management on overdue balances and bad debt provision (Excel)
  • Ensure all relevant SOP`s are adhered to without exception
  • Maintain good communication with sales team, keeping them informed and enlisting their help when appropriate
  • Management of internal accounts
  • Handles all customer queries re credit control issues
  • Allocating customer payments to debtors` accounts
  • Creating direct debit files and submission to bank - advising customers of amounts to be lifted

Experience

  • At least three years` experience working within a Credit Control/ Administration environment
