Food and Beverage Manager 4*Hotel – Cork City

We are currently recruiting for an experienced food and beverage manager for our esteemed client in Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to continue to develop their skills in an excellent environment where customer service is key. The Food and Beverage manager will be responsible for the overall smooth operation of the food and beverage department to ensure optimisation of service excellence, profitability and cost control. The ideal candidate will have a strong food and beverage background, have passion for the industry and ambition for continuous improvement across all areas they manage. They wil thing strategically about the longterm goals of the department and ensure they are met by setting realistic targets for their team.

Key Candidate Criteria:

• A proven track record in a similar role for at least 3 years
• Financial ability to monitor, adjust, control and forecast all associate costs of running the department
• To manage food and beverage stock levels and meet GP% targets
• Work well in high pressure service situations
• Be organised and efficient in their work processes
• Liaise with other departments to ensure overall service and guest experience is cohesive
• To ensure that all staff are trained with a good knowledge of all food and beverage offerings to be able to make informed suggestions to guests
• Develop vendor relations
• To keep up with market trends and demands and to adjust business accordingly
• To foster a good team environment and a positive, productive work environment
