GIS CAD Technician -Utilities
Our Client, a blue chip engineering organisation, specialising in the Design and Management of Utilities infrastructure, is seeking to recruit an experienced GIS CAD Technician for its offices in Dublin north. The successful GIS CAD Technician will be involved in the design of a range of Utilities infrastructure projects (underground services) throughout Ireland. The successful GIS CAD Technician will work within a specialist engineering design team and will report to the Design Office Manager.
To be considered for the role you must:
Hold a Third Level qualification in GIS.
Be proficiency in GIS and AutoCAD.
Be proficient in ‘data capture’
Have more than 5 years relevant experience.
Have experience in an Engineering Design Office (or similar)
Be proficient in the English language (spoken, written, technical).
Have relevant Utilities experience (electricity / pipelines / telecommunications)
Be proficiency in Word and Excel
Ideally you will:
Hold a Third Level qualification in Engineering (or similar)
Have ‘team lead’ experience OR have ability to lead a team.
Have experience in design of water / gas pipelines (or similar underground services)
Have knowledge / experience of topographical surveys and digital mapping.
Have experience in drawing office data registers and repositories.
Have strong communications and interpersonal skills.
Have experience in preparing ‘as constructed’ drawings, manuals and records.
Be competent at managing multi-projects whilst ensuring all deadlines are met.

Vacant position. Contract duration c 36 months+
Remuneration is negotiable depending on the experience and fit of the candidate. However, the ideal candidate can expect remuneration in the order of: c €55,000.00 per annum.
