We provide leading lighting consulting and design services throughout the world on major infrastructure schemes and internationally acclaimed buildings, in collaboration with leading architects, artists, engineers and planners. In Beijing, Arup used LED lighting and photovoltaic arrays in the GreenPix zero-energy media wall, an interactive façade that produces twice the energy it consumes. In Abu Dhabi, our lighting helped create a landmark night-sky profile for the Yas Hotel.
About the Role
We are looking for graduates and junior lighting designers to join our team of bright professionals in our Dublin office to assist on all aspects of both daylight and architectural lighting projects from concept development to detailed lighting specifications. From your first day, you’ll join an unrivalled community of experts, where everyone is supported in their career path and encouraged to work towards a professional qualification.
You’ll help us to deliver effective and professional services for a range of varied and high-profile clients. While you’ll have a great deal of responsibility from day one, we’ll give you the chance to take on more as you progress and broaden your skills.
Supporting our senior designers and team members on a range of projects you will be responsible for:

Supporting our senior designers and team members on a range of projects you will be responsible for:
Providing lighting calculations
Preparing renderings, drawings, and specifications
Supporting the team with project and team administration duties
Assisting the production of project related correspondence and reports
Co-ordinating work with designers and engineers of other disciplines
Attend design team meetings and present design outcomes
As a Graduate Designer you will have
A Recognised Degree Or Diploma In Lighting, Architecture Or Interior Design.(Or Another Relevant Subject)
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills
Solid Report Writing Skills
Strong Planning And Organising Ability
Familiarity With 3d Modelling Software And Photoshop Is Desirable; Some Knowledge Of Lighting Software And Of Daylight Design And Analysis Would Be Advantageous
As a Designer you will have all of the above plus
At least three years’ experience in a lighting practice or architectural/ interior design
