Manager Mes Operations

This global Pharmaceutical greenfield site is seeking an MES Operations Manager to support the implementation of a new MES system for their Limerick plant. This is a highly interactive role require strong key stakeholder relationship management to ensure successful deployment of the new MES system.

The Role:

• Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing you will hold responsibility of ensuring effective operational deployment of the new MES System.

• There is currently an IT Project Manager who is responsible for any back-end work and configuration. It will be your role to communicate business requirements from the site to the IT Project Manager, align with procurement and execute. You will be in continual communication with the Manufacturing Director ensuring the business capitalises the new system and drives exceptional process efficiencies.

• You will be responsible for workflows, EBR’s, batch records, LIMS processes etc. and be an on the ground presence, i.e. operationally focused. However, this role is corporate facing and the successful candidate must be confident in dealing with the senior leadership team both on site and globally.

• Currently the role is a stand-alone position but there are plans to expand the team where you will have direct reports.

The Person:

• The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years’ as an MES Manager with operations experience. Ideally you will have come through a manufacturing environment and have a background in engineering, science, computer science, or similar.

• Strong Project Management experience is required and a proven track record of successful execution of high spend, complex projects is essential.

• You will have experience of managing multiple key stakeholders, and work with the commercials to execute a successful roll out of the new MES System.
