Our client a semi state body based in the city centre are currently looking to recruit an experienced Payroll administrator initially on a temporary basis with a possible view to permanency.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager and the Financial Controller role will involve:

  • Dealing with all aspects of the 4 payrolls – 1 weekly, 1 Pensions (monthly) and 2 Monthly payrolls
  • Assisting with the auditability and traceability of the end to end payroll processes (i.e. key reconciliations, payment deadlines and submissions, etc.)
  • Ensuring that all employee pay & entitlements are paid in accordance with agreed terms & conditions, with changes advised by HR as necessary
  • Main Point of contact for Staff in relation to payroll related queries
  • Monitoring public sector agreements relating to payroll to ensure requirements are followed consistently as advised by HR and in full for each payroll cycle
  • Ensuring internal controls and compliance requirements are met as instructed by management.
  • Continual improvement and standardisation of payroll operations and systems
  • Being the key contact for payroll audits and responsible for all audit queries and analysis at year-end
  • Prepare all monthly and annual statutory returns including CSO requirements
  • Processing, payment and reporting of 3rd party vendors e.g. VHI in line with policies and procedures  and reconciling these accounts monthly
  • Uploading of Nominal Journals from the payroll system to the accounts package
  • Generate Cost Analysis Reports  for relevant stakeholders e.g Heads of Dept as requested by your line manager
  • Prepare payroll budget export from the payroll package to excel under the guidance of the accounts office
  • Implementation of the relevant payroll CoreHR module

 

 

Ideal candidates:

•           IPASS qualification

•           A minimum of  three years’ experience in a payroll position

•           Strong and confident communicator with good interpersonal skills

•           Ability to work on own initiative, seek assistance where required.

•           Excellent time management and organisation skills with ability to work to tight deadlines

•           Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

•           Adaptable to change in a fast paced environment

•           Customer and Relationship focused
