Planning & Retail Controller

Our client an International Group based in south Dublin are currently looking to recruit a Financial Planning & Reporting controller to join their team on a contract basis.

Principal Objective of Position:

• Responsible for the preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial reporting for the Group, in addition to the management of the Business planning cycle and follow up analysis through-out the year.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for high quality weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, providing insights for all business lines
• Responsible for the Market Review, Business Review and Reporting Model Group Submissions
• Responsible for annual budget process in line with Group deadlines
• Business Partner for Finance, IT and ACT Europe/Canada
• Responsible for the internal transfer pricing model
• Responsible for the implementation of Internal Controls on Financial Reporting Support role to AFC including journal initiation and journal entry approval (non-standard) for Business Partners
• Work with business lines to drive Month end close process improvements 
• Pro-actively support and challenge the business unit management team in business decisions
• Project support and ad-hoc tasks/analysis

The successful candidate will have: 

• Positive, can-do attitude, displaying a high level of enthusiasm, commitment and motivation.
• A Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA,CIMA.
• Ideally a minimum of 5 years post qualified accounting experience in a similar role. 
• Experience setting strategic direction for an organisation and influencing senior management.
• Excellent ability to foster and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders, cross organization as appropriate. 
• Good knowledge best practice accounting processes.  
• A proven self-starter with strong communication skills. Strong IT skills (including Excel, Word)
