Job Requirements

Global Pharmaceutical company looking for an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join the team on a contract basis.

General Job Requirements:

  • Provides hands-on guidance to less experienced colleagues.
  • Works with appropriate Regulatory groups to clarify requirements for labeling in country, and in coordination with others within and outside the group.
  • Coordinates the generation and approval of multiple pack types.
  • Determines what hardware and software upgrades will be required to keep artwork capabilities up to date.
  • Liaises with external suppliers and vendors directly, to assure artwork requirements are met.
  • Liaises with International Regulatory group and local Regulatory to obtain the correct text and determine when the artwork is required, that standards have been achieved and if standards are not met, provide an explanation as to why.
  • Obtains details of packaging changes likely to occur in the future.
  • Allocates the work load as appropriate ensuring availability of all required artwork for the full product range in compliance with new product approvals and existing product variation approval deadlines.
  • Updates and maintains company Brand Standards Packaging guide as products are added or updated.
  • Maintains FTP site and vendor access and reviews on yearly basis.
  • Creates, reviews, and reproduces labeling text, layout and format consistency within product family and product specific graphics.
  • Recommends improvements and develops systems/policies to enhance labeling operations.
  • Assigns daily job responsibilities.
  • Maintains accurate files of labelling change history and associated documents.
  • Interfaces across functions to identify product labelling changes.
  • Troubleshoots errors and system performance issues related to Labelling Operations.
  • Represents Labelling in cross-functional meetings regarding business processes and implementation of process and system updates.
  • Maintains awareness of guideline modifications issued by regulatory agencies and communicates these to the Labelling Operations team.
  • Provides advice and counsel on labelling impact/requirements during planning discussions.
  • Provides labelling support for renewals, supplements and competitive analysis as needed.
  • Ensures consistency of labelling across product lines and compliance with policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Accountable as required for escalating issues to management.
  • Proficient knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Strong verbal, technical writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

 

Specific Education/Experience:

  • Possesses a strong knowledge of the FDA and cGMP standards as well as regulatory guidance documents.
  • Some years of relevant experience and a BS or BA.
  • Some years of relevant experience and a MS.
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
