Position Summary:

This role will involve monitoring the financial impact of the inventory associated with a key Business Unit on a daily basis, including the generation of status reports to Management and the customer. It will involve working closely with the Finance Function and SCM function in the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise between the internal Planning, Warehouse, Production & Finance functions.
  • Analyse inventory trends to make recommendations for process improvements and analysis.
  • Analyse discrepancies with a view to implementing permanent solutions relating to material issues.
  • Work with Quality to manage the material returns process, ensuring that no material exceeds the ageing criteria agreed with the customer.
  • Work with Business Controls to ensure that the SCM Scorecard is completed on time and that all monthly reviews occur.
  • Review process, procedures and KPI’s currently in place and make recommendations for improvement
  • Partake in cross functional Training in the other disciplines within the group , i.e. planning & purchasing etc
  • Be an effective team player who will drive efficiency and continuous improvement throughout the department

Core Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • Proven expertise in SAP essential.
  • Strong Analytical skills and the ability to present data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organisational abilities.
  • PC Skills: Expert excel and analytical skills.
  • Good team building and leadership Skills.

 

Typical Education/ Experience:

  • Third level qualification in Business or Supply Chain Management or related qualification
  • SAP knowledge desirable
