Trade Compliance Administrator (Contract role)
Job Description
- Manage and track licence requirements and prepare documentation for export licence applications for submission to the Irish Department of Jobs, Enterprise, and Innovation (DJEI).
- Create and maintain a tracking file of all export licence activity.
- Review and release export holds in product fulfilment systems as required.
- Respond in a timely manner to resolve export issues/questions generated by internal customers.
- Facilitate preparation of KPI reports, as required, while developing, sharing and spreading best practices.
- Ensure export and import classification data in product fulfilment systems in ERP (SAP) and internal systems is maintained in all matters related to Trade Compliance.
- Maintain and update data as required in internal and external web portals.
- Perform carrier and broker audits to establish HS classification errors in order to prevent Customs fines.
- Initiate HS classification amendments with carrier.
- Log and track all amendments in the master data file.
- Perform daily customer screening against embargoed/sanctioned lists.
Basic Qualifications
- University business degree or 1-3 years of work experience in export/import compliance or in a related area such as Customer Service, Finance or Logistics.
- General understanding of Irish/EU export licencing process or the ability, desire and aptitude to learn this process in a short timeframe.
- High-level professional ability in both oral and written communication.
- Good interpersonal skills – this job requires a large amount of interaction with people.
- Ability/aptitude to comprehend and interpret large amounts of data.
- Demonstrated professional qualities to perform effectively in a corporate environment.
- Strong organizational, planning and analytical skills.
- Computer proficiency (i.e., Microsoft Office, SAP ERP application, etc.).
- Some basic knowledge of Import/Customs regulations (Ireland and other EU countries) and related activities (HS classification, valuation, country of origin, etc.)
Additional Qualifications (not essential)
- Knowledge of semiconductor industry products and manufacturing processes, which would enable the candidate to better match the technical properties of products with the export/import regulations.
