Web Designer

Position Overview

We are now on the lookout for a part-time web designer with minimum 3 years’ experience who will have expertise in all aspects of website and mobile design to help us deliver a highly engaging and compelling experience for our customers. The successful candidate will work closely with a range of functions in the business including marketing, sales and product development.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work with marketing & IT to design and develop innovative solutions to evolving challenges.
• Create meaningful design deliverables from wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes that effectively communicate design ideas.
• Revise and improve designs based on user feedback, research, technical constraints and business decisions.
• Drive and support your ideas all the way through the successful launch of a project.
• Continually improve existing websites and mobile applications while maintaining the consistency across different brands.

Required Education & Experience:

• A recognised relevant third level qualification.
• At least 3 years prior experience of working as a web designer.
• Relevant product and industry knowledge.
• Experience with relevant software packages and tools: Adobe Creative Suite, CSS3, HTML5, jQuery and front-end frameworks.
• An online portfolio showcasing your work is mandatory.

Required Competencies:

• High level of creative and conceptual thinking.
• Design versatility and Technical skills in web and mobile.
• Front end frameworks such as Foundation, Bootstrap or other similar frameworks.
• Ability to take direction.
• Excels as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Excellent verbal and written English language communication skills.
• Strong general IT literacy.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Ability to provide relevant design solutions.

This is a part-time role with remuneration commensurate to the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate and is located in our head office: Blanchardstown Corporate Park 2, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.
